It began as an accident. On a warm summer evening, we (Dan [right] and Phil [left]) went to a popular trivia night, only to find out (along with 20 other would be competitors), that the trivia "master" had decided to take the night off - without any warning. To thwart the disappointment of all in attendance, as well as to quell a potential nerd riot, we hosted an impromptu quiz with nothing more than a few Trivial Pursuit cards and a bag full of witticisms. After the success of this unexpected event, we decided that not only had we had a great time - but that we could make it better - and thus was birthed PubPop Trivia.Unlike other trivia nights, PubPop Trivia incorporates video, audio, and other forms of multimedia with traditional questions. Also, unlike other pub quiz nights, proceeds from these events go straight to the Sanctuary Arts Center, a local non-profit art studio that serves homeless youth in our community. Our generous venue, Bill's Off Broadway, also donates 3% of their income to SAC - meaning, that for once, you can come compete, eat and drink while benefiting a great cause.
